It’s the season of giving. That’s why Fitzpatrick’s Crest Tavern is partnering with the United Way of Cape County with an Eagle Fan Holiday Tailgate Party this Sunday, Dec. 21 and a Giving Tree to benefit Cape May County residents, who are struggling to meet their basic needs.

The party will kick off at 3 p.m. for the Eagles/Redskins football game, and the United Way Santa Duck and Spanky’s Barbeque will be there to get the party started.

A Christmas Tree at the Tavern has been adorned with snowflakes that list small gifts of clothing and personal care items that can help ease the holiday burden for United Way clients. These include: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, lotion, new socks, underwear and t-shirts. Lisa and Tim Fitzpatrick are inviting those who would like to help to stop by throughout the week to select an ornament from the tree and return with a gift to brighten someone’s holiday. Or just drop by at the party with one of the items listed above and help yourself to some Spanky’s barbeque on the house.

Plus, one lucky United Way supporter be getting an early Christmas gift. The United Way will be announcing the winner of a total Wii package – the grand prize of the “All Wii Want for Christmas,” contest. Plus Eagles and Eagles cheerleader ducks —a great last minute stocking stuffer–will be on sale at the event.
