Cape Regional Medical Center's: Kevin Burns, RN; Joanne Carrocino, President & CEO; and Patrick Galloway, Executive Chef "Live United" by supporting the United Way.
“Many hands make light work,” said United Way Executive Director, Suzanne Nardi. “So while the cost of a couple cups of coffee a week or one fast food meal doesn’t seem like much, when everyone pitches in a little, we can do great things in our community.”
On Friday, representatives from the United Way of Cape May County and its partner agencies (like CARA, Volunteers in Medicine and others) will be attending an informational fair at the hospital’s main hall to let employees know about what the agencies do and how they can help.
A payroll deduction is one easy way to make a contribution to support United Way programs. These programs strengthen local families, invest in youth and children, promote healthy living, and support county residents by providing basic needs in times of crisis. Plus, those who sign up for payroll deduction receive a membership card for the Caring Club, which entitles them to great discounts from many local community-minded businesses. It is yet another way that residents, businesses and the United Way connect to make life better for all county residents.
“This circle of caring is what Living United is all about,” Nardi said, “And we are thrilled and grateful that Cape Regional has become a part of our team.”
Giving back to the community is an important part of the hospital’s mission, said Tom Piratsky, Cape Regional Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations.
“We are one of the biggest employers in Cape County,” he said, “and we think it’s very important to support and help the people in the community that we serve.”
