Can you help find Fireman Duck in Time?

United Executive Director Suzanne Nardi is putting out a desperate plea to the public to help her in locating the other rubber ducky racers before race day. The popular fundraising event draws ducky fans from near and far to Mariner’s Landing water park one day each year to watch thousands of ducks race around the lazy river. They compete for hundreds of prizes for their sponsors, and the money raised by the event supports United Way’s community programs throughout the year. Read more…

First Missing Ducky ‘Grounded’ at Pool Zone

Thanks to a tip from Julie Merson, one of five missing United Way rubber duckies has been found.

The disappearance of the celebrity ducks during the Beach Blast soccer tournament in Wildwood was a blow to the United Way of Cape May County, which is planning its annual Rubber Ducky Regatta on Aug. 10.

United Way duckies find temporary homes

United Way of Cape May County is again gearing up for the Rubber Ducky Regatta, the annual fundraiser and community event, where a flock of rubber duckies race around Morey’s Endless River to win hundreds of prizes for their sponsors.

The race takes place on Aug. 10, but until then, the United Way needs a clean and convenient place to store and organize the ducks, and Molly and Ed Wisely, of Coastline Heating and Cooling, in Burleigh, came to the rescue by donating storage space. Read more…

Rubber ducks kick-off summer at Beach Blast

A flock of new rubber ducks is getting in shape for the 2008 Rubber Ducky Regatta, so they flew into Wildwood this week for a beachfront practice with the Cape Express Cyclones. The new duckies will be on Wildwood’s beach again at the Beach Blast Soccer Tournament, June 28 – 29, to help the United Way of Cape May County “kick off” the summer season. Read more…
